FESTIVAL OF NATIVITIES
BRINGING NATIVITIES
If you are planning to bring nativities for our Festival of Nativities, please put your name on the sign-up sheet that is on the library unit so that
we can get an estimate of how many nativities to plan for. There are information cards near the sign-up sheet. We ask that you take as many of the cards as you would like (one for every
nativity item that you plan to bring), fill out the card in advance and put it in Wes & Karen Anderson's mailbox. We would like to type up information cards ahead of time to place near the
nativities.
All types of nativities are welcome both large and small, old, and new. We would also like to have on display anything you may have that has a nativity on it such as ornaments (if you have an ornament hanger that would be perfect to display it on), snow globes, blankets, wall hangings, etc. If you have a wall hanging, please bring an easel to display it on (or contact us so we know how many easels to bring).
When you stop and think about it, there are so many styles of nativities, some very decorative, some very simple, some old, some new, some handmade, some purchased, some especially created for children, etc. We would love to see them all. We ask that you take your nativity down at 7:00 PM on Friday, December 5, following the Festival of Nativities.
SET UP NATIVITIES
We ask that you set your nativities up at church on Thursday evening, December 4, between 3:00 and 6:00 PM. We will have coverings on some tables; however, we ask that if you can bring a cloth or other special touch to put with your display and/or a table to put your display on, that would be wonderful.
THE FESTIVAL
The Festival of Nativities will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 PM. The community is invited to come and view the variety of nativities displayed throughout our church.
We will have a Living Nativity from 5:00-7:00 PM outside of church and Christms Carolers! Supper will be served.
ADVENT SUPPER SIGNUP
There is a signup sheet for 3 Advent suppers on the library unit. The dates are December 3, 10 and 17.
SOMETHING NEW WITH THE GIVING TREE
This year's Giving Tree has a new twist! Instead of collecting gift items for specific individuals, we’re teaming up with the Appleton Area Food Shelf to spread some holiday cheer. Many of us know the joy of opening our cupboard and finding a bounty of food, but sadly, some in our community face empty shelves.
So, in the spirit of giving, we’re inviting everyone to contribute to our food drive! When choosing items, please be mindful—let’s keep
it fresh and don’t bring any expired goods. Consider creating a Birthday Bag filled with fun items like a boxed cake mix, cooking oil, foil pan, non-stick spray, frosting, birthday candles, and
more!
Additionally, essential items like toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, and personal hygiene products are always appreciated.
Let’s come together to surround our Giving Tree with an abundance of these thoughtful donations! Below, you’ll find a list of suggested items, put together by someone from a food shelf to inspire
your generosity.
You can start bringing your contributions on Sunday, November 30 and we’ll be collecting through Wednesday, December 17.
Thank you for helping us make a difference this holiday season!
Also, take a look a the bulletin board by the phone. It has some great tips and suggestions for your donations.
Click the document below to print it out or to read.
